[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 30일 로컬드림봉사회는 설 명절을 맞아 소요동 홀몸어르신, 장애인 등 취약계층을 위해 명절음식을 준비하여 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

로컬드림봉사회는 소요동 행정복지센터와 ‘소담쓰담 어르신 종합 돌봄 사업’ 업무협약을 체결해 돌봄 사각지대에 놓인 독거노인들에게 종합돌봄서비스를 제공하고 있는 봉사단체로, 이날 로컬드림봉사회 회원들은 떡국 떡과 전 100인분을 준비해 소요동 취약계층 가구에 직접 전달했으며, 특히 홀몸어르신 10가구에는 직접 떡국과 갈비, 전을 만들어 명절 상을 차리고 세배를 했다고 전했다. 

로컬드림봉사회 이창민 회장은 “설날 같은 명절에는 홀몸어르신들이 더 큰 소외감을 느끼시곤 한다”며 “반갑게 맞이해주시며 눈물까지 보이시는 어르신들을 보니 보람을 느끼고 앞으로도 소요동 이웃을 위한  다양한 봉사를 이어나갈 것이다”라고 말했다.
