[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 4월 14일부터 양주시는 개정 자동차관리법 시행됨에 따라 자동차 정기검사 미수검 차량에 대한 행정제재가 강화된다고 밝혔다.

자동차 검사지연 과태료는 검사기한 경과 후 30일 이내인 경우 기존 2만원에서 4만원, 30일 초과 후 매 3일마다 부과되는 금액이 1만원에서 2만원으로 상향 조정되고, 이에 따라 검사 기간 만료일로부터 115일 이상 경과할 경우 최고 과태료 금액은 30만원에서 60만원으로 2배가 오른다고 했다.

또한 자동차 소유자가 검사 명령을 이행하지 않고 1년 이상 경과할 경우 기존에는 자동차 등록번호판을 영치했으나 관련법 개정으로 해당 자동차는 운행정지 처분을 받게 된다고 전했다.
