[남상훈 기자 = 의정부시] 지난 9일 의정부시 신곡2동 지역사회보장협의체는 저소득 독거가구 대상 ‘온정 따블로 김치 나누기’ 특화사업과 ‘복지사각지대 발굴 캠페인’을 실시하는 등 취약계층에 대한 복지활동에 나섰다고 전했다.

이날 행사는 독거 노인·중장년 취약계층 90가구에 김치 5kg과 파김치 1kg를 전달과 함께 안부를 확인하는 ‘온정 따블로 김치 나누기’ 특화사업과  주민들의 이용량이 많은 경전철 동오역 앞에서 복지사각지대에 놓인 이웃에 대한 관심 독려와 위기 가구 발견 시 적극적인 제보를 홍보하며 홍보 물품을 배부하는 등의 ‘복지사각지대 발굴 캠페인’이 진행됐다. 

황정숙 협의체 위원장은 “취약가구에게 전달한 김치가 어려운 이웃에게 조금이나마 도움이 됐으면 한다”며, “복지사각지대에 놓인 이웃에게 따뜻한 손길이 다가갈 수 있도록 복지사각지대 발굴을 위한 홍보활동을 지속적으로 전개하겠다”고 전했다.

김세원 신곡2동장은 “취약계층의 복지를 위해 애쓰고 계신 신곡2동 지역사회보장협의체 위원님들께 감사드린다”며, “복지 사각지대 발굴은 주변 주민들의 관심이 무엇보다 필요하다”고 전했다.
