시는 지난 22일부터 오는 30일까지 장마철 하천 쓰레기 집중정화주간으로 지정해 운영 중이며, 장마철, 태풍 발생 등으로 하천에 유입되는 쓰레기를 사전에 대비하고, 수질오염과 생태계 경관 훼손 예방을 위해 노력중이다.

가로환경미화원 작업반장은 “1인 지역 전담제 방식에서 벗어나 포천시 가로환경미화원 모두와 함께 작업하는 시간을 갖게 되어 조직적으로도 많은 도움이 되는 뜻깊은 작업이었다. 깨끗한 포천시 만들기에 앞장서겠다.”고 말했다.

신미숙 친환경정책과장은 “더운 날씨와 위험한 하천 내 작업에도 불구하고 주민들이 불편을 겪지 않도록 쓰레기 수거에 최선을 다한 가로환경미화원과 직원 여러분께 감사하다.”고 전했다.
