[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 21일 포천시 영중면 주민자치위원회는 면 소재지 영평천을 중심으로 환경정화 활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 위원 10여 명은 영평천 주변을 정비하고 주변에 버려져 있는 쓰레기를 수거하는 등 깨끗하고 쾌적한 영중면을 만들기 위해 구슬땀을 흘렸다고 했다.

최호식 주민자치위원장은 “주민자치위원회에서 지역을 위한 봉사활동으로 매월 정례회의 개최 후 환경정화 등을 추진하고 있다.”라며 “앞으로도 지속적인 관심과 참여로 살기 좋은 영중면을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.

안문종 영중면장은 “바쁜 일정 중에도 적극적으로 참여해주신 주민자치위원회에 감사드린다.”라며 “쾌적하고 살기 좋은 영중면을 만들기 위해 면에서도 더욱 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
