[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시 내촌면 생활개선회는 지난 2일 지구 온난화를 막기 위한 ‘탄소중립 캠페인’과 함께 관내 환경 정화 활동을 펼쳤다.

생활개선회 회원들은 내리 왕숙천 산책로와 내촌중학교 인근에서 줍깅(쓰레기를 주우며 조깅하는 운동)으로 환경 정화 활동을 펼쳤다.

이번 캠페인 활동으로 대중교통 이용, 일회용품 사용 자제, 음식물 쓰레기 최소화 등 일상생활에서 쉽게 실천할 수 있는 탄소 배출 저감 방법을 시민들에 홍보했다.

이봉화 회장은 “기후 위기 대응을 위해 시민들이 일상에서 온실가스 배출을 줄이는 노력이 필요하다. 이번 캠페인으로 인식 전환이 이뤄졌으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

강성모 내촌면장은 “오늘 캠페인으로 지역 내 환경 문제에 대한 인식이 높아졌을 것으로 기대된다.”면서 “내촌면 행정복지센터는 주민, 기업체, 관공서가 탄소중립 실천을 위해 함께 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
