양주시는 6월부터 10월까지를 농업재해 특별 대책 기간으로 정하고 상황별 4단계로 나눠 지역별로 22명의 기동 근무조를 편성하여 농업재해 취약지를 중심으로 농작물 관리 현장지도에 모든 행정력을 동원할 계획이라고 전했다. 

주요 관리 대책으로 논·밭두렁 제방 등 사전점검 및 정비, 배수로 잡초제거 및 시설정비, 노지작물, 과수 받침대 설치 및 가지 유인, 부직포를 활용한 토양유실 방지, 축사 차광막, 환기 설치, 농기계 보관관리 등이라고 했다.

특히, 장마기간에 고온 다습으로 인한 벼 도열병, 벼멸구, 고추 역병, 탄저병, 담배나방 등 병해충 발생이 우려됨에 따라 농작물 피해를 줄이기 위해 적용약제 살포와 수시 예찰을 전개할 예정이라고 했다. 

한태수 농업기술센터소장은 “농촌진흥청 농업기상재해 조기경보시스템을 활용해 농업재해 안전문자, 농작물 관리기술 등을 신속하게 전파할 것”이라며 “유관기관과 상시 협력을 강화해 선제적 대응 체계를 구축하고 농축산물 피해를 최소화하기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
