[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 정선군은 인구감소지역으로 지정·고시에 따른 인구 활력을 위한 맞춤형 정책 추진에 총력을 다하고 있다고 밝혔다.

지난해 10월 행정안전부에서 발표한 인구감소지역에 정선군이 포함됨에 따라 앞으로 효과적인 행정·재정지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 일자리창출, 청년인구 유입, 생활인구 확대 등 다양한 인구활력사업을 발굴 추진해 나갈 계획이며, 군에서는 맞춤형 인구활력 계획을 수립하기 위해 인구감소 원인과 교육·일자리 등 인프라 구축 현황 등을 종합적으로 분석하는 것은 물론 중앙부처와의 연계·협력 기반 마련을 위한 인구활력 증진을 위한 새로운 사업발굴에 나서고 있다고 전했다.

군은 최승준 정선군수를 비롯한 김병렬 부군수, 각 실과소장, 읍면장 등이 참여한 가운데 코로나19 예방을 위해 비대면 화상회의를 개최하고 인구활력사업 발굴 보고회를 개최했다고 했다.

이날 보고회에서는 인구활력도 증진을 위한 신규사업을 비롯한 기존 사업 중 인구감소 대응 효과 증진 사업 등에 대해 심도있는 논의를 진행했으며, 일자리·경제를 비롯한 주거, 문화·여가, 복지 등 4개 분야에 39개 사업이 발굴되었고, 군에서는 새롭게 발굴된 사업들을 대상으로 향후 인구감소 대응방안 연구용역에 포함해 사업의 현실성과 효과성, 지속성 등을 분석하고 실행 가능한 사업을 적극 추진해 나간다는 방침이라고 했다.
