[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 8일 집중호우로 인한 부유물 등 발생으로 인한 수질오염을 미연에 방지하기 위한 산정호수 관광지 환경정화 활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

이번 활동은 포천시 지역자율방재단에서 트레일러 2대, 모터보트 2대를 지원했으며, 자율방재단, 산정리 마을 및 청년회, 포천도시공사, 영북면 의용소방대 등 기관·단체 50여 명이 집중호우에 떠내려온 각종 부유물과 오염물질을 제거하는데 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

김태준 단장은 “안전한 포천시를 만들기 위해 단원 모두가 안전지킴이라는 마음으로 봉사하고 있다. 앞으로도 각종 재난 예방 및 복구작업에 참여해 안전에 만전을 기하겠다.”고 말했다.

양대종 산정리 이장은 “모두 함께 최선을 다해 환경정화 활동을 실시한 덕분에 산정호수가 깨끗해졌다.”며 감사의 말을 전했다.

시 관계자는 “산정호수 관광지에 대한 사전 환경정비 및 안전점검으로 관광지를 찾는 관광객에게 불편이 없도록 더욱 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
