[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 한국자유총연맹 동두천시지부 상패동 분회에서는 지난 18일 오전 7시부터 동두천시지부 회원 약 20명이 참여한 가운데, 환경정화 활동을 벌였다고 밝혔다.  

이날 회원들은 상패동 행정복지센터를 시작으로 관내를 돌며 거리에 무단 투기된 쓰레기 및 불법 광고물, 담배꽁초 등을 수거하며 깨끗한 거리 조성을 위해 힘썼다.

행사를 주관한 허응무 상패동 분회장은 “주말 이른 아침임에도 불구하고 많은 회원께서 상패동에 모여 환경정화를 위해 힘써주신 것에 대해 감사의 마음을 전한다”라며 “향후에도 꾸준한 봉사활동을 지속해 나갈 예정”이라고 밝혔다.  

한영수 상패동장은 “지역사회를 위해 솔선수범하는 자유총연맹 회원님들께 감사드리며, 앞으로도 쾌적한 상패동을 만들기 위해 환경 정비에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
