[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 19일 읍면동장 긴급회의를 열고, 반복 피해지역 및 공사현장 등 위험지역에 대한 대책과 재난예방사업추진 현황 등을 점검했고, 포천시는 국지성 집중호우와 태풍 등 자연재난에 대한 선제적 대응책 마련에 총력을 기울이고 있다고 밝혔다. 

시는 일찍이 재난취약시설 안전관리 계획을 마련하고 대규모 공사장과 급경사지, 상습침수구역 등에 대한 사전점검을 마쳤고, 지난해 집중호우로 인한 수해복구 작업은 총 132건 중 131건을 완료했으며, 나머지 1건도 조속히 마무리할 계획이라고 했다. 

재난취약지역을 체계적으로 관리하기 위한 재해예방사업도 추진 중이며, 시는 올해 12억 8천만원의 예산을 투입해 소흘읍 고모리 일대 법면유실방지공사, 군내면 용정1리 배수로 정비 등의 재해예방사업을 추진하고 있고, 총 30건 중 19건을 완료했으며, 나머지 11건은 오는 9월까지 공사를 완료할 계획이라고 말했다. 

이 외에도 예기치 못한 자연재해로 인한 사유재산 피해를 최소화하고자 풍수해보험 가입을 적극 홍보하고 있으며, 소방서, 경찰서, 한국전력공사 등 유관기관과 비상연락체계를 구축하고 단계별 비상근무를 실시하는 등 재난사고에 신속하게 대응하고 있다고 했다.

박윤국 시장은 “철저한 현장점검과 예찰활동을 통해 각종 재난안전사고를 사전에 예방하고, 발 빠른 대처로 시민의 안전과 재산을 지켜내겠다.”고 밝혔다.
