[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 지난 8일 안동광 의정부시 부장이 매주 1회 진행되는 의정부2동주민센터 및 의정부2동 10개의 자생 단체의 서부권 쓰레기 특별관리지역 집중 정비에 참여했다고 밝혔다.

서부권 쓰레기 특별관리지역은 의정부2동의 빌라 밀집 지역과 유흥가 상권이 형성된 신시가지, 의정부역 서쪽 출구 일대를 말한다. 이 구역은 지정된 시간 외 배출된 쓰레기, 유동 인구와 함께 증가한 쓰레기 무단 투기로 가로환경 정비에 어려움이 많은 곳이다.

지난 8일은 서부권 쓰레기 특별관리지역의 자율 청결 활동의 그 첫 시작으로 안동광 의정부시 부시장도 참여해 힘을 보탰다. 또한 의정부2동 및 자원순환과 직원들과 자생 단체 회원들은 20명씩 2개 조로 나눠 쓰레기와 담배꽁초를 주웠다. 장기간 방치돼 도시 미관을 저해하는 쓰레기 무단투기지역을 집중적으로 정비했다.
