[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 경기도가 홍수로부터 안전하고 깨끗한 하천환경을 조성하기 위해 올해 도비 총 1천243억 원을 투입해 하천 72개소를 대상으로 제방 보강, 교량 설치, 생태환경 조성 등을 추진한다고 16일 밝혔다.

올해 사업 대상 하천 72개소는 총연장 218.3㎞로 공사 하천 28곳 67.8㎞, 보상 하천 18곳 59.8㎞, 설계 하천 26곳 90.7㎞로 구성됐다. 

공사 하천을 보면 28곳 중 안성 율곡천 등 7곳이 연내 준공되고, 안성 율곡천 공사는 배수시설 13개소, 교량 3개소, 제방 4㎞ 등을 설치하는 내용이다. 

경기도는 공사 하천 사업을 통해 제방 보강 등 하천시설 정비, 교량 설치, 생태환경 조성, 친수공간 확보(산책로) 등을 추진한다. 특히 우기철 전에 미준공 사업지구의 주요 공정을 우선 시공해 수해 피해를 예방할 계획이다.

보상이나 설계 중인 하천에 대해서도 주민 설명회를 개최해 다양한 의견을 청취해 적극 반영할 예정이다. 

앞서 도는 2022년 1월 ‘맑고 깨끗한 생명하천’ 구현을 목표로 경기도 주도의 최초 ‘경기도 지방하천 종합 정비계획(2021~2030)’을 수립한 바 있다. 

이를 통해 지금까지 단순하게 하천 폭 확장과 제방 확충에만 치중하던 기존 정비 방식에서 벗어나 수질, 미관, 생태 등 여러 복합적 요소까지를 고려해 선정한 60개 하천을 연차별, 단계별로 정비하고 있다.

정선우 경기도 건설국장은 “하천 정비 방향은 실질적인 수해 예방 효과 증대를 위해 안전을 위협하는 요소들을 꼼꼼히 찾아 정비해 나가는 것”이라며 “도민들의 휴식과 여가를 누릴 수변공간도 지속적으로 조성해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
