[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월부터 12월까지 포천시 일동면행정복지센터는 ‘5-G로 행복한 마을만들기 운동’을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

‘5-G로 행복한 마을만들기 운동’은 깨끗하GO, 쾌적하GO, 아름답GO, 편안하GO, 건강하GO의 21세기형 5-G 운동으로, 각 마을의 특색을 살려 주민 스스로 마을에 필요한 사업을 기획·추진하는 주민주도형 사업이라고 했다.

일동면은 기산5리, 화대1리, 화대3리, 수입2리 등 4개 마을이 참여해 마을주변 쓰레기 수거, 영농폐기물 수거, 풀베기 작업 등 환경정비에 힘을 기울였고, 산책로 조성, 마을공터 소공원 만들기, 운동기구 설치 등으로 마을 생활환경이 한껏 개선됐다고 전했다.

마을의 한 주민은 “마을 주변 노후주택 정비와 폐기물 처리로 마을 미관과 생활환경이 개선되었다.”라며 만족감을 보였다. 

김남현 일동면장은 “이번 사업은 건강하고 행복한 마을을 만들기 위해 주민 스스로 소통하고 참여해 더욱 의미가 있다.”라며 “앞으로도 사업이 안정적으로 추진될 수 있도록 일동면에서도 함께 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
