[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주지방환경청은 화학사고 예방을 위하여 오는 10월 14일까지 유해화학물질 취급사업장 33개소에 대하여 '국가안전대진단'을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

사업장별로 유해화학물질 저장탱크 및 보관창고 상태, 누출감지기 설치·작동 및 소화설비 구비 여부, 긴급 세척시설 작동상태 등을 진단한다.

진단결과 시설의 안전상태가 미흡한 사업장은 즉시 개선·조치하고, 아울러 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 국가 재난 예방을 위해 총력을 기울일 계획이다. 

민희삼 화학물질관리과장은 “이번 국가안전대진단을 통해 사고 위험요인의 사전 발굴과 해소방안을 마련하여 화학사고로부터 안전한 환경을 조성”하겠다고 밝혔다.
