이날 백 시장은 지난 8일 집중호우로 피해를 입은 가산면 일대 농경지 및 내촌면 도로침수 현장을 확인하고, 신속한 피해복구를 지시했다.

백 시장은 “최근 중부지방 집중호우로 지반이 많이 약해져 있는 상태다.”라며 “재해 취약 시설을 중심으로 미리 점검하고, 특히 산사태, 낙석, 붕괴 우려가 있는 취약 시설에 대한 예찰 활동 강화 및 안전조치를 꼼꼼하게 살펴 추가 피해가 없도록 하라”고 주문했다.

특히 읍·면·동장들에게 지역 내 상습 침수 구역과 호우 취약 지역을 중점적으로 예의주시할 것을 당부하고, 접경지역 내 수위 관측 및 예찰을 강화하여 행락객, 낚시객 등 인명 피해가 발생하지 않도록 안전관리에 철저를 기할 것을 관계부서에 요청했다.
