[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 환경부 원주지방환경청이 올해 관내 지하수 측정망 총 86개 지점의 지하수 수질이 전반적으로 양호하다고 밝혔다.  

원주지방환경청은 강원·충북권 내 지하수 수질보전과 안전한 이용을 위해 지하수 수질현황 및 변화 추세 등을 정기적으로 파악·관리하고 있다.

수질조사는 상·하반기 각각 1회씩 대장균군, 중금속 등 수질기준 21개 항목을 측정하며 올해 총 조사시료는 168개로, 이 중 160개는 ‘적합’ 8개는 수질기준을 '초과'한 것으로 나타났다. 수질기준 초과율은 4.7%이며, 이는 지난 2020년 전국 수질기준 초과율인 7.0%와 비교해 약 33% 낮은 수준이다.
