[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 생연2동 행정복지센터는 지난 17일, 하절기 복지사각지대 집중 발굴 기간 동안 복지안전망을 활용하여 복지대상자 발굴을 위한 현장점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 활동은 복지 취약계층을 선제적으로 찾아 지원하기 위해 지역사회보장협의체 위원장과 1인 가구 중장년층이 모여 사는 주거지역 관할 통장들이 함께 방문하여 안내문과 후원 물품을 전달하며 현장점검을 실시했다. 

특히, 복지사각지대 발굴 홍보 효과를 극대화하기 위해 주민들이 많이 거주하는 공동주택과 노인복지관 등에 홍보 포스터를 게시하며 복지대상자 발굴에 힘썼다.

생연2동장은 “다양한 기관과 연계하여 복지사각지대 위기가구를 발굴하고 주민이 체감할 수 있는 복지사회를 구현할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
