[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 횡성군은 온실가스 감축 및 대기환경 개선을 위해 2022년 수소전기자동차 보급사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업 지원대상 차종은 현대자동차 넥쏘 1종이며, 보조금은 지난 2021년 대비 200만원이 줄어든 1대당 3,550만원으로 총 50대를 보급하고, 신청대상은 신청일 기준 90일 전부터 계속하여 횡성군에 주소를 둔 자로 개인, 기업체, 법인·단체, 지방자치단체, 공공기관(중앙행정기관은 제외) 등이며, 또한, 보급대수 50대 중 5대는 장애인, 차상위계층, 국가유공자, 소상공인, 생애 첫 차 구매자, 노후 경유차 대체 구매자, 다자녀 가구 등에 대하여 증빙서류 제출시 우선순위 대상으로 선정하여 우선 보급한다고 했다. 

신청은 2월부터 가능하며, 차량을 계약한 뒤 제조·판매사를 통하여 온라인 전산시스템 '저공해차 구매보조금 지원시스템'으로 신청하면 되고, 보다 자세한 사항은 횡성군 홈페이지 공고문을 확인하거나 미래전략과 기후변화팀에 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

김석동 미래전략과장은 “수소전기자동차는 연료전지를 사용해 전기모터로 구동되며, 기존의 내연기관차와의 큰 차이점은 배출가스 대신 물만 배출해 운행할수록 공기가 깨끗해져 움직이는 공기청정기로 불린다.”며 “2040 탄소중립을 실현할 수 있도록 친환경 자동차 보급 및 충전 인프라 구축에 주력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 횡성군에서는 수소전기차 이용자의 불편을 해소하고자 올해 하반기 상업운전을 목표로 한국가스기술공사와 협약을 체결하여 횡성읍 묵계리 176번지에 단독형 수소충전소를 구축, 추진 중에 있다고 했다.
