합동점검 대상은 △중앙부처에서 위험시설로 관리하고 있는 시설 △최근 사고 발생시설 및 국민관심 분야 △분야별 위험성이 높다고 판단되는 건축, 교통시설, 소규모 공공시설 등 45개소 시설물이며, 특히 올해 처음으로 ‘점검 대상 주민신청제’를 도입해 지역 주민이 점검이 필요하다고 생각하는 시설에 대해 신청을 받고 점검을 추진할 계획이라고 전했다.

특히 안전대진단 기간 동안 시설물·건축물의 소유주 및 관리자 등 관리주체는 시설물·건축물의 안전관리 상태를 군에서 배포하는 자율점검표에 따라 소방·전기·가스·시설 분야로 점검해야하며, 군은 안전관리에 군민 모두 함께 동참해 줄 것을 당부할 계획이다.
