[김준호 기자 = 삼척시]  박상수 삼척시장은 추석을 맞이하여 9월 2일(금) 한국에너지재단과 당저동 노인 세대를 방문하여 에너지효율개선사업 지원내역을 점검하고 대상가구와 공사관계자 등을 격려하는 자리를 가졌다.

저소득층 에너지효율개선사업은 한국에너지재단이 주관해 국민기초생활수급가구 및 차상위계층, 복지 사각지대 가구를 대상으로 건축물의 에너지 성능을 높이고 생활 환경을 개선하는 사업이다.

삼척시는 한국에너지재단을 통해 지난 3년간 평균 72가구, 약 1.6억 규모를 지원받아 에너지효율 시공을 추진하였다. 시는 금년도 목표인 80가구를 초과해 현재 213가구의 시공을 추진 완료하였으며, 사업 희망 가구는 10월 31일까지 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 통해 신청할 수 있다.

박상수 삼척시장은 “본 사업으로 에너지 사용에 어려움을 겪는 가구의 에너지 비용 절감을 도모할 수 있는 계기가 되었고, 촘촘한 복지실현을 위하여 사각지대에 놓인 에너지 취약계층 발굴에 적극 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
