[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 대기환경 개선을 위해 ‘2022년도 제2차 전기자동차 민간보급사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 올해 하반기 1,968백만원을 투입, 전기승용차 72대, 전기 화물소형 43대, 화물초소형 22대 등 총 137대를 지원할 계획이다.

신청자격은 신청서 접수일 기준 3개월 이상 태백시에 주소를 두고 있는 18세 이상 개인 또는 법인 등이며, 보조금 신청은 전기자동차 구매계약을 맺은 후 자동차 판매 대리점에서 환경부 전기자동차 통합포털을 통해 신청하면 된다.

보조금은 예산 범위 내에서 차량 출고 · 등록 순으로 지원되며 신청기간은 지난 8일부터 시작해 예산 소진 시까지다.

자격부여 이후 3개월 이내에 차량이 출고되지 않을 경우 선정이 취소되며, 취약계층과 다자녀세대 또는 생애최초 차량 구매자 등에 대해선 우선지원 대상으로 선정한다.

보조금은 환경부 기준에 따라 차종별 차등 지원되며, 전기 승용차는 최대 1,140만원, 전기 화물 소형차는 최대 2,720만 원, 초소형 전기차는 차량의 종류와 관계없이 1,300만원의 보조금이 지원되며 2년동안의 의무운행기간을 준수해야 한다.

태백시 관계자는 “지속적으로 친환경차 보급과 충전 인프라를 확대해 저탄소 대기환경을 구축할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 태백시는 지난해 15억원의 사업비를 투자해 전기자동차 96대를 보급했다.
