[남상훈 기자 = 횡성] 지난 10일 김명기 횡성군수가 서원면을 끝으로 9개 읍‧면 순회를 통해 총 1,200여 명의 주민들을 만나며 '2023년 주민과의 대화'를 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

주민과의 대화는 군수가 연초에 각 읍‧면행정복지센터를 방문해 주요 현안 사항을 알리고, 주민들의 다양한 의견 및 애로사항을 청취하기 위해 추진됐다. 지난 1일 강림면을 시작으로 10일 서원면까지 9개 읍‧면 순회를 통해 총 1,200여 명의 주민들을 만났다.

이를 통해 읍하리 교량중대·공근 8375부대 2대대 등의 발전 방향과 국도6호선 도로공사로 인한 먼지 및 소음에 따른 주민불편 해소 방안, 민원처리 시스템 개선, 체육공원 조성, 노인회관 설치, 도로 및 교량 개설 등 총 158건의 건의사항을 접수했다. 군은 관련 부서 검토를 거쳐 군정에 반영하는 한편, 처리계획 및 처리결과를 설명한다는 계획이다. 

김명기 군수는 “군민이 부자되는, 희망횡성·행복횡성 실현을 위해 군민과 소통하고 의견을 공유한 소중한 시간이었다. 앞으로도 군민의 작은 목소리에도 귀 기울이고 현장에서 답을 찾는 소통행정을 실현하겠다.”고 말했다.
