관내 보훈단체와 협업으로 복지 사각지대에 있는 보훈대상자를 선제적으로 발굴해 종합상담을 통한 주거, 생계, 건강, 보건, 문화서비스 등 다양한 복지서비스를 연계하고 지속적으로 지원할 계획이라고 했다.

박윤국 시장은 “국가유공자분들에 대한 예우가 곧 우리를 대우하는 것이고, 이는 아무리 강조해도 지나침이 없다. 앞으로도 단 한 명의 유공자분들께 소홀함이 없도록 더욱더 섬세한 보훈·복지 정책을 추진해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.

주변에 생계 및 주거 등 어려운 국가유공자가 있을 시 주거지 읍면동 복지부서에 신청 후 상담을 통해 통합사례관리 지원을 받을 수 있다고 밝혔다.
