[남상훈 기자 = 횡성] 오는 7월부터 횡성군은 장기 주차 차량으로 인한 주차 공간이 부족으로 방문 민원인들의 불편이 끊이지 않았던 청사 민원 주차장에 대해 유료화를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

횡성군에서는 그동안 이를 해결하기 위해 장기 주차 차량에 대한 강제적인 출입제한 조치를 통해 주차수요를 관리해 왔으나, 보다 근본적인 관리 해법으로 유료화 전환을 결정했다.

이에 오는 6월 중 허가민원과 앞 민원 주차장에 무인 정산기를 설치해 시범 운영 후 7월부터 본격 시행한다. 횡성군은 유료화 시행에 앞서 최근 '횡성군청 부설주차장 요금징수조례'를 제정했다.

유료 운영시간은 평일 오전 8시부터 오후 6시까지이며 그 외 야간 및 주말과 공휴일은 무료로 운영된다. 요금은 기본 1시간은 무료, 이후 30분마다 1,000원이 부과되며, 국가유공자 및 장애인 차량, 친환경 자동차, 경차는 50% 감면된다.

횡성군 관계자는 “청사 주차장 유료화 시행으로 주차 회전율이 높아져 방문 민원인들의 주차장 이용 만족도가 높아질 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.
