[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 어르신 부양가족의 부담경감 및 지역돌봄 강화를 위해 어르신 병원동행서비스사업을 시범사업으로 신규 추진한다고 밝혔다.

병원동행서비스는 혼자 병원을 이용하기 어려운 어르신을 대상으로 병원동행, 이동지원, 접수·수납, 약품 수령 등의 전반적인 보호자 역할을 지원하는 사업이다.

이에따라, 시는 2억 6천만 원의 사업비를 투입하여 어르신 병원동행서비스를 추진할 계획으로, U-care센터를 서비스 수행기관으로 지정하여 종사자 채용 및 교육, 시스템 구축 등 준비단계를 거쳐 오는 3월부터 본격적인 서비스를 제공하게 된다.

서비스대상은 만 65세 이상 병원진료가 필요한 재가노인으로 이용료는 기본 1시간 5,000원, 이후 추가 30분당 1,500원으로, 기초생활수급자 및 차상위계층의 경우 기본 1시간 1,000원, 추가 30분당 500원에이용할 수 있다.

단, 병원 이용에 소요되는 교통비는 모두 자부담이며, 서비스 신청과 관련한 보다 자세한 사항은 동해시 U-care센터에 문의하면 된다.
