[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 17일 포천시 영북면지역사회보장협의체는 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 국가유공자분들에게 여름배추김치로 고마운 마음을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

영북면지역사회보장협의체는 매년 열무김치, 알타리김치 등 김봉일 위원장이 직접 재배한 재료를 이용한 김치나눔사업을 추진하고 있다고 했다. 

올해는 특별히 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 나라를 위해 희생한 국가유공자분들에게 고마운 마음을 김치로 전달하게 되었다고 전했다.

김봉일 위원장은 “국가를 위해 희생한 유공자를 위해 뜻을 모아 의미있는 행사를 마련했다.”라며 “국가유공자 어르신들이 코로나19를 극복하고 건강하게 지내실 수 있도록 더욱 관심을 가지겠다.”고 말했다.

윤숭재 영북면장은 “특별한 달을 맞아 국가유공자 어르신을 위한 여름김치를 만들어 주신 영북면지역사회보장협의체에 진심으로 감사드린다. 지역을 위한 끊임없는 고민이 이러한 지역복지사업 추진에 원동력이 되었다고 본다.”라며 감사의 마음을 표했다.
