[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 4일 군청 대회의실에서 공무원을 대상으로 장애인 학대 예방교육을 실시했다.

이날 교육은 장애인에 대한 사회적 차별과 편견 해소, 장애인 학대 문제 심각성 인식으로 장애인 학대 근절과 정확한 정보전달을 위해 진행되었다.

강원도장애인권익옹호기관 주관으로 진행된 교육은 전문강사를 초빙해 장애인 학대의 정의 및 신고의무, 실제 사례를 통한 장애인 학대 유형, 장애인 학대 발견 시 신고방법 및 피해장애인 지원 절차 등에 대하여 교육했다.

또한 이날 군청 민원실에서 공무원 및 지역 주민을 대상으로 장애인 학대 및 예방을 위한 장애인 이동상담실을 운영했다.

이종필 복지과장은 이날 "교육을 통해 공무원들의 장애인들에 대한 권익보장과 장애인 학대에 대한 인식 개선에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있으며, 앞으로도 장애인들의 복지 증진을 위해 더욱 노력해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
