[김현우 기자 = 속초] 속초시가 올해 12억 원의 예산을 투입하여 장애인의 사회참여 확대 및 소득보장을 지원하는 장애인 일자리 사업을 본격 추진한다고 12일 밝혔다.

장애인 일자리 사업은 취업 취약계층인 만 18세 이상의 미취업 등록 장애인에게 일자리를 제공하고 근로 연계를 통한 자립 생활을 지원하는 것으로, 속초시는 지난해 12월 선발을 마치고 올해 1월 2일부터 77명의 장애인이 26개 기관에 배치했다.

주요 업무는 행정업무 보조, 환경정화 활동, 우편물 분류, 바리스타, 차량 운행 등이며 근무시간 및 참여자 특성에 따라 전일제, 시간제, 복지 일자리로 구분된다.

속초시는 오는 13일 시청 대회의실에서 일자리 사업 참여자 및 배치기관 담담자를 대상으로 하는 기본 교육을 실시하며, 복무규정과 기본 소양, 안전보건, 성희롱 예방과 관련된 내용을 전달할 예정이다.

이병선 속초시장은 “장애 특성에 맞는 다양한 직무 유형을 개발하여 일자리를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다.”며, “보다 안전한 자립 환경을 조성하기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
