[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 20일, 제 43회 장애인의 날을 맞아 ‘사단법인 장애인미디어인권협회 의정부시지회(지회장 박현찬)’와 의정부시를 대표하고 1만3천여명의 팔로워를 보유한 ‘의정부 아줌마 플리마켓(대표 배미영)’이 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 업무협약은 두 기관이 지역경제 활성화를 통한 장애인 및 소외계층을 직접적으로 지원하며, 각종 사업을 함께 추진하는 등 중증장애인 생산시설의 상품 판매와 일자리 창출 등 지역사회 발전과 장애인의 활동 영역을 확대하는 일에 상호협력하기 위해 체결했다. 

이에따라 상호 협력을 통해 플리마켓을 열고 수공예품, 의류, 잡화, 악세서리, 식품 등 다양한 품목으로 판매 및 기부 행사를 추진할 예정이며, 행행사에 참여하는 고객들을 대상으로 경품추첨 행사도 계획해 쇼핑의 즐거움과 재미를 선사할 예정이다.

사단법인 장애인미디어인권협회는 장애인과 소외계층에게 필요한 알권리를 신문, 인터넷방송 등 미디어매체를 통하여 정보를 전달함으로서 삶의 질의 향성과 사회적 약자들에 대한 일자리 창출 등을 지원하기 위한 단체로 2009년 8월에 설립됐다.
