[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 지난 16일, 자연재난 및 사회재난 신속 대응을 위해 재난감시용 CCTV 4개소를 구축 완료했다고  밝혔다.

이번에 설치된 재난감시용 CCTV 카메라는 고화소, 고배율 등 혁신제품으로 악천후에도 고화질 영상으로 현장상황에 즉각 대응할 수 있다고 했다.

재난감시용 CCTV 설치사업은 도비보조사업 매칭사업(도:40%, 시:60%)으로 매년 시는 예산확보를 통해 지속적으로 재난감시용 CCTV 설치 등 재난 사각지대를 해소하고 있다.

한편, 시는 올해 초 여름철 자연재난의 선제적 대응 및 예찰을 위해 하천 및 신천 등에 설치된 재난감시용 CCTV 전수점검을 실시하는 등 장애 없는 환경을 유지하고 있다.

권영선 동두천시 안전총괄과장은 “재난취약지역에 설치된 영상정보처리기기(CCTV)로 실시간 현장을 확인하여 자연재난의 안전지킴이 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있다”라며, “앞으로도 재난예경보시설 확충뿐만 아니라 철저한 유지관리를 통해 시민이 안심하고 안전하게 지낼 수 있는 안전한 도시환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
