[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 7월부터 오는 8월까지 양구군은 하절기 폭염 또는 장마철 집중호우 시 오염물질 무단배출 등의 불법행위를 근절하기 위해 특별 감시·단속 활동을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

감시·단속 대상은 ▲장마철 집중호우, 휴가철 등 취약시기를 틈타 사업장 내에 보관하고 있거나 방치하고 있는 폐수를 무단 방류하는 행위 ▲폐기물, 가축분뇨 등 오염물질을 빗물과 함께 공공수역에 유출하거나 비밀 배출구를 설치해 무단 방류하는 행위 ▲비정상적으로 운영하는 배출업소의 불법행위 등이다.

특히 대기·폐수·폐기물 배출사업장, 오수처리시설, 비점오염원 사업장, 하천‧계곡 등에 위치한 식품접객업 등은 집중 대상이며 이밖에 환경오염물질 유출 시 녹조현상 악화, 공공수역 오염 등을 유발해 환경피해가 크게 발생할 것으로 예상되거나 환경오염행위로 적발된 사업장도 중점 단속대상이다.

양구군은 특별 감시·단속 결과 위반 사업장에 대해 관련 법률이 정하는 행정처분 기준에 따라 과태료 부과, 시설 개선 명령, 사법기관 고발 등을 하는 등 엄격하게 처리할 방침이다.
