[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 8월 9일 캠코는 연일 이어지는 폭염 속에서 코로나19 4차 대유행으로 격무에 시달리는 부산지역 선별진료소 의료진 지원을 위해 대한적십자사에 기부금 3,000만원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

기부금은 의료진들의 무더위와 피로를 덜어줄 기능성 티셔츠와 쿨링 넥밴드 등 구입에 사용되며, 구입물품은 부산지역 선별진료소(20개소) 의료진(약 600명) 모두에게 전달될 예정이라고 했다.

문성유 캠코 사장은 “폭염 속에서 방호복과 마스크로 무장한 채 방역 최전방을 지키고 있는 의료진의 노고에 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 캠코는 코로나19 극복을 위해 피해계층을 면밀히 살펴 지원을 이어갈 것”이라고 말했다.

한편, 지난해부터 캠코는 코로나19 환자 치료를 위해 애쓰는 의료진은 물론 자가격리자, 다문화가족·장애인·조손가정 등 사회적 약자, 코로나19 피해 자영업자·화훼농가 등 다양한 계층에 맞춤형 지원 사업을 펼쳐오고 있다고 전했다.
