[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시농업기술센터는 연일 이어지는 폭염에 가축질병과 일소현상 등 원예작물 피해가 우려됨에 따라 폭염대비 농업인 안전 및 농축산물 관리요령에 대한 적극적인 지도에 나섰다고 밝혔다. 

하우스 내 차광설치, 수막시설 가동 등으로 시듦과 일소현상 피해를 막고, 축사 주변 그늘막 설치, 송․환풍기 가동 등으로 체온을 낮추고 물과 비타민을 급여해 면역력을 높여 줘야 한다고 했다. 

또한, 작업 시에는 아이스팩, 모자, 그늘막 등 사용, 2인 1조 농작업으로 비상시 대처, 휴식시간 자주 가지기(시간당 10~15분), 시원한 물 자주 마시기, 몸에 이상을 느끼면 휴식하기 등 농작물뿐만 아니라 농업인 건강관리에도 주의해야 한다고 했다.

포천시농업기술센터 박기욱 소장은 “폭염으로 인한 농축산물 관리와 더불어 농업인의 안전사고에도 주의가 필요하다. 또한 고온기 전력 사용량이 많아짐에 따라 전력 상황과 배선 설비 등을 미리 점검하여 전기로 인한 화재와 정전 피해를 예방해야 한다.”고 전했다.
