[김현우 기자 = 속초] 속초시 보건소가 모자보건사업 유공 보건복지부장관 표창을 수상했다고 2일 밝혔다.

속초시 보건소는 출산 가정이 건강 시작점부터 평등하게 건강관리를 받을 수 있도록 지원하는 ‘생애초기 건강관리 사업’ 시행에 적극 참여했으며, 도내에서 최초로 사업을 시행한 성과를 인정받았다.

생애초기 건강관리 사업은 영유아 건강간호사와 전담 사회복지사가 산전산후 산모・영유아 가정에 방문관리 서비스를 제공하는 사업이다.

이병선 속초시장은 “현재 사업 전담인력이 교육과 훈련을 통해 핵심역량을 습득하고 있으며, 내년도 상반기부터 대상자 가구를 본격 방문할 예정이다.”며, “생명의 시작점부터 건강한 출발이 가능하도록 하여, 안전하고 질 높은 양육환경을 조성하는 데 기여하겠다.”라고 말했다.
