[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시보건소는 검진 사각지대에 있는 노숙인 102명을 대상으로 '찾아가는 결핵 검진'을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 검진은 대한결핵협회 강원도지부 검진 차량을 이용해 지난 12일과 13일 이틀간 진행됐다.

실시간 원격 판독과 함께 객담검사까지 즉석에서 진행됐으며, 이상자는 보건소에서 지속 관리할 예정이며, 결핵 예방 및 검진 독려 홍보물과 전파방지를 위한 마스크 꾸러미도 지급됐다.

김진희 보건소장은 “영양결핍과 주거환경이 열악한 노숙인은 일반인에 비해 결핵 유병률이 매우 높은 사회·경제적 취약계층인 만큼 결핵 예방 홍보와 함께 연 2회 찾아가는 결핵 검진을 지속해 나갈 예정”이라고 말했다.

이어, “결핵 없는 사회, 건강한 국가”실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 덧붙였다.

한편, 결핵은 2주 이상의 기침과 가래, 체중감소, 피로, 식욕부진, 오한, 무력감, 피곤함 등이 주요 증상으로, 일반 감기 증상과 비슷해 조기 발견이 어렵고 증상 없이 발병하기도 한다.
