[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시는 지난 11일 시민평화의 공원에서 가정폭력 예방 및 근절을 위한 홍보 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 캠페인은 '가정폭력 없는 우리 집! 웃음 가득, 행복 만땅'이라는 주제로 동두천시 여성청소년과와 동두천 여성단체협의회가 함께 모여 진행하였다.

가정폭력 예방을 위한 안내 및 홍보물품을 전달하며 위기가구를 조기에 발굴할 수 있도록 적극적인 제보와 관심을 당부하였다고 했다. 

동두천시 여성단체협의회 이유화 회장은 “평화는 모든 인간이 누려야 할 기본적인 삶의 조건이며, 그 출발점이 가정이다. 가정의 행복이 우리 사회의 건강함과 행복의 척도가 되는 만큼 위기가구를 발견했을 경우 적극적으로 제보해주시기 바라며, 가족이 행복한 동두천시를 만들기 위해 적극 노력하겠다”라고 전했다.

동두천시 관계자는 “우리 시는 동두천성폭력상담소와 동두천시 가족센터와 함께 위기가구를 위한 사례관리, 상담 및 치료회복 프로그램 지원 및 연계 등의 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 정보를 알지 못해 서비스를 받지 못하는 위기가구들이 없도록 지속적으로 가정폭력 예방을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
