[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 23일, 동부지방산림청은 이상 기후에 대응하고 저노동·고효율의 우량 묘목 생산 기반 마련을 위한 정선양묘사업소 '스마트양묘시스템 구축공사'을 완료하고 동부지방산림청장 최재성, 정선군수 최승준 등 약 40여명이 참석한 가운데 준공식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

국비 42억원을 들여 조성한 스마트양묘시스템은 다목적작업장 1동(1,360㎡), 자동화온실 1동(7,788㎡). 저온저장고 2동이며, 첨단 양묘시설에는 축구장 330개 면적을 조림할 수 있는 낙엽송 묘목 100만본 생산할 수 있는 규모이며, ICT기술을 이용한 스마트양묘시스템을 구축하여 PC또는 스마트폰을 통해 언제든지 온실 및 저온저장고 등 온도․습도 등을 모니터링 하고, 온실 창문개폐, 관수, 관비 등을 원격․자동화해 노동 의존형 묘목생산 구조를 개선하였다고 했다.

최재성 동부지방산림청장은 “이번 정선양묘사업소 스마트양묘시스템 조성으로 국유양묘장의 선진화된 기술을 전국의 민유 양묘장에 전수하는 등 적극적인 정책을 추진해 나가며, 2050년 탄소중립 실현을 위한 고품질의 우량묘목을 안정적으로 생산하는데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다고 밝혔다.
