[남상훈 기자 = 포천시] 지난 7일 백영현 포천시장은 운악산의 자연환경을 활용한 관광자원화 방안을 모색하기 위해  타당성 용역 최종보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 최종 보고회에는 백 시장을 비롯해 화현면 및 주민대표 등 10여 명이 참석했다. 최종 보고회는 운악산 개발방안에 기본구상 및 타당성 조사 결과를 청취하고 논의하는 시간으로 진행됐다. 

이번 최종 보고회를 통해 운악산 자연환경을 최대한 보존하면서 단계적으로 관광객들이 즐길 수 있는 무지치 구름다리, 소꼬리폭포 조망데크, 친수휴게쉼터 등 다양한 운악산 개발 방안이 도출됐다. 시는 운악산 개발이 지역주민의 소득창출 및 연계관광 활성화로 지역경제 활성화의 계기가 될 것으로 전망하고 있다.

시 관계자는 “최종보고회에서 제시된 의견을 바탕으로 운악산 개발을 추진할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
