[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 22일 정선군은 선공설운동장 팔각정 일원에서 정선읍 신도로망 구축사업 기공식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 기공식에는 최승준 정선군수를 비롯한 전흥표 정선군의회 의장, 박재삼 정선경찰서장, 조환근 정선소방서장, 김근익 정선교육지원청 교육장, 기관단체장, 지역주민 등이 참석한 가운데 국민의례, 경과보고, 기념사, 축사 등의 순으로 진행되었다고 전했다.

정선읍 신도로망 구축사업은 정선군의 신성장 동력 기틀 마련을 위한 아리랑클러스트 기반시설 구축의 일환으로 추진하는 사업이며, 사업 대상지는 정선읍 봉양리 조양연립뒤 제방도로를 시점으로, 정선 공설운동장을 경유하여 애산리 종합운동장을 종점으로 하는 연계 도로망으로 교량 475m, 접속도로 207m 등 도로 682m, 보도 포함 왕복 2차로를 신설하고, 교량 상부 2층과 3층에는 2,418㎡의 뗏목을 형상화한 휴게 광장을 조성하는 사업으로, 국비를 포함 495억원의 사업비를 들여 2025년 준공할 계획이라고 했다.
