[남상훈 기자 = 포천] 지난 30일 백영현 포천시장은 새해를 맞아 선단동체육센터에서 선단동 주민과의 ‘공감·소통 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 백영현 포천시장을 비롯해 서과석 포천시의회 의장 및 의원 6명, 윤종애 선단동장, 채수정 통장협의회장 등 40명의 선단동 주민대표가 참석했다.

간담회에서는 지난해 8월 주민과의 공감·소통 간담회 시 건의된 사항에 대한 추진상황과  향후계획 등에 대한 윤종애 선단동장의 설명이 이어졌으며, 이외에도 추가적인 건의사항에 대해 논의하는 시간도 가졌다.

백영현 시장은 “시민과 가까운 곳에서 함께 공감하고 소통하는 것이야말로 포천시장으로서 가장 기본적인 책임이자 의무이며 가장 중요한 일이라고 생각한다.  앞으로도  수시로 지역을 찾아 시민의 생생한 목소리를 듣겠다.”고 밝혔다.

또한,  “선단동 주민의 최대 숙원사업인 6군단 부지 활용 방안은  포천시 전체의 발전이 걸린 사안으로 신중하고  결단력 있게 업무를 추진하고, 모든 과정에서 언제나 시민을 최우선으로 생각하겠다.”고 말했다.

시 관계자는 “지난번 건의사항의 신속한 추진뿐만 아니라 새로운 건의사항에 대해서도 주민의 의사가 최대한 수용될 수 있도록 적극적이고 도전적인 마음가짐으로 과제 해결에 임하겠다.”고 전했다.
