[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 27일, 화현면 운악산의 수려한 자연환경을 활용한 관광자원화 방안을 모색하기 위해 타당성 용역 착수보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 착수보고회에는 백영현 포천시장을 비롯해 포천시의회 안애경 의원, 화현면 및 일동면 주민대표 등 20여 명이 참석해 운악산 개발방안에 대한 다양한 의견을 청취하고 논의했다.

시 관계자는 "착수보고회에서 제시된 의견을 바탕으로 용역과제를 추진해 다양한 개발방안 발굴해 방문객들이 방문하고 싶은 운악산을 만들겠다."고 말했다.

백영현 포천시장은 “운악산만의 특별한 콘셉트를 가진 창의적인 관광시설을 발굴해 시민들에게 더욱 사랑받는 운악산이 될 수 있도록 관심과 노력을 기울여 나가겠다."면서 "이번 용역으로 자연환경을 훼손하지 않는 범위에서 방문객들이 즐길 수 있는 효율적인 개발방안을 도출해 주길 바란다."고 전했다.
