[김준호 기자 = 영월군] 영월군은 민선 8기 핵심 공약사업 중 하나인 영월 봉래산 명소화(B-park project) 사업에 대한 군민들의 관심도를 높이고 사업 이해를 돕기 위한 주민 공청회를 오는 10월 18에 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 주민 공청회는 봉래산 명소화 1단계 사업인 전망시설 및 모노레일 설치에 대한 사업설명 및 비전 제시, 의견수렴을 할 예정이다.

영월군에 따르면 봉래산 명소화(B-park project) 사업은 2023년부터 2024년까지 봉래산 정상부에 조성될 카페, 전망 홀, 전시공간, 스카이워크, 별빛전망대가 조성 될 예정이다.

또한, 2023년부터 2025년까지 금강정~정상부의 모노레일(약1.4km), 야간경관조명 설치 등에 총 310억 원이 투자될 예정으로 영월군만의 특색을 가진 관광거점을 조성 할 계획이다.

최명서 영월군수는 “봉래산 명소화사업을 위한 전담 추진팀이 꾸려졌으며, 봉래산 명소화를 통한 우리 군의 부족한 관광인프라와 줄어드는 관광객 수 해결 방안 마련으로 향후 영월군 관광 트렌드에 새로운 장을 만들겠다”라고 말했다.
