[남상훈 기자 = 포천] 지난 2일 백영현 포천시장은 청년들이 지방행정에 대한 이해와 신뢰도 제고를 위해 직접 체험하는 ‘제2기 겨울방학 대학생 지방행정체험단’ 출범식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 시청 대회의실에서 열린 출범식에는 백영현 포천시장을 비롯해 제2기 지방행정체험단 49명이 참석했다. 체험단의 선서, 체험단 신분증 수여, 축사, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다. 이후 참가 학생들에게 체험할 내용과 근무요령을 설명하는 오리엔테이션을 실시했다. 참가 학생들은 4주 동안 행정 업무를 체험하고 오는 2월 28일을 마지막으로 제2기 겨울방학 지방행정체험단이 마무리될 예정이다.

한편, 2기 학생들 역시 1기와 마찬가지로 전공 및 희망부서, 거주지 등을 고려해 시청, 직속기관, 사업소, 읍·면·동 등에 배치됐으며, 체험기간 중에 연구과제를 작성해 본인이 제안한 정책을 시정에 반영해 볼 수 있는 기회를 갖는다.

백영현 시장은 “2대1의 경쟁률을 뚫고 체험단에 선발된 것을 축하한다. 우리 청년들의 더 나은 미래를 위해 양질의 일자리를 창출하고 정주환경을 개선하여 청년들이 살기 좋은 도시로 만들겠다.”고 말했다.
