[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시는 오는 10월 27일 14시 삼척시청 시민회의장에서 민선8기 공약사항인 “석회석 신개념 산업화 2,000억 지역경제 확보”를 위한 광업경영인 간담회를 개최한다.

이번 간담회는 삼척시에서 채굴되는 광물자원을 활용하여 경쟁력 있는 고부가치 광물자원 제조산업을 육성하고, 광업경영인 어려움 해소를 위한 광업경영인 의견을 수렴하기 위해 진행된다. 

간담회에는 광산업체 관계자 18명과 삼척시 관계자 5명 등 총 23명이 참석할 예정으로, 광업 활성화 및 광물자원 제조산업 육성과 “삼척시 석회석 산업화 추진 기본계획 용역” 추진에 따른 토론과 업계의 애로사항에 대해 청취하는 간담회가 될 전망이다.

또한, 광산개발에 따른 비산먼지, 수질오염 등 환경오염방지를 위한 배출시설 관리 협조 요청과 광산물 운반트럭 안전운행을 위한 준수사항도 안내할 예정이다.
