[남상훈 기자 = 포천] 지난 24일 백영현 포천시장은 포천시청 대회의실에서 ‘2023 겨울방학 지방행정체험 2기 대학생 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 2기 행정체험에는 49명의 대학생이 참여했으며 학생들은 지난 2일부터 시청과 읍면동에서 체험 활동을 하면서 느낀 점과 시정에 필요한 의견을 제시하는 시간으로 진행했다.

여성가족과에서 근무한 남 모 학생은 “응급상황 발생 시 갈 수 있는 병원의 선택 폭이 좁다.”며, “공공의료시설을 설립하고, 포천시 소재 학생들과 일자리를 연계하는 방안”을 제안했다.

세정과에서 근무한 윤 모 학생은 “젊은 세대가 포천에서 일하고 계속 살아갈 수 있는 기반이 필요하다.”며, “포천시 특산품 개발대회 개최를 건의한다. 여기에서 채택된 아이디어에 대한 재정적, 정책적 지원을 해주었으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

간담회에 참석한 백영현 시장은 “짧은 체험 활동의 시간이었지만 포천 발전을 위해 다양한 정책을 제안해준 학생들에게 감사하다.”며, “시민의 생각, 시민의 말이 시의 정책으로 반영될 수 있도록 시민과 적극적인 소통을 하고 있으니, 행정체험이 끝나더라도 많은 의견을 제시해주길 바란다.”며 학생들에게 끝없이 변화하는 자세를 강조했다.
