[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시(박상수 시장)가 31일 도계읍 행정복지센터 복지회관에서 도계 복합체육문화센터 설계 공모안에 대한 의견 수렴을 위해 주민설명회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

주민설명회에는 지역 기관단체장과 이장단, 지역주민 등이 참석할 예정이며, 시는 참석자들을 대상으로 도계 복합체육문화센터 실시설계안에 대한 의견을 수렴한다.

도계 복합체육문화센터 건립사업은  81억여 원을 투입하여 연면적 2,700㎡, 지상 2층(지하 1층) 규모 복합체육문화센터 1동을 건립하는 사업이다.

복합체육문화센터는 다목적체육관, 공용시설을 포함한 국민체육센터와 주민자율공간, 마주침공간, 방음공간, 마루공간 등을 포함한 생활문화센터가 갖춰진다.

시는, 지난해 9월 기본 및 실시설계용역을 착수하였고 이번 주민설명회 및 주민 의견을 수렴하여 오는 6월까지 실시설계 용역을 마무리할 예정이며, 7월 사업을 발주하여 2024년 12월까지 사업을 완료한다는 방침이다.

우종원 체육과장은 “해당 사업이 완료되면 도계지역의 체육·문화 인프라 확충으로 지역주민 삶의 질 향상과 지역경제 활성화에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.
