[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 30일, 농협평창군지부은 평창군 평창농협과 임직원, 농업인, 지역주민과 함께 화평리 마을주민과 함께하는 '2022년 강원농협 릴레이 나무심기 행사'를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

농협평창군지부는 평창군, 지역농협 임직원, 농업인이 함께하는 2022년 릴레이 나무심기 행사를 통해 평창군 탄소흡수원 확대로 탄소중립 목표 달성에 기여하고 아름다운 농촌마을 가꾸기를 통한 농업의 공익적 가치와 농협의 사회적 공익적 역할에 대한 지역사회 기대에 부응키 위해 실시 하였다고 전했다.

이날 행사에서 농협평창군지부(지부장 최창순)은 “얼마 전까지만 해도 봄철 미세먼지 등으로 불편을 겪었는데 나무심기야 말로 가장 장기적이고 적극적인 미세먼지 저감 대책이라며 이번 나무심기를 통해 탄소중립 사회로의 전환을 위한 농촌 환경보호 활동에도 적극 앞장서겠다고” 말했다.
