[김현우 기자 = 포천] 포천시는 지난 4월 28일 시민과 적극적인 소통을 위한 ‘찾아가는 청성산 종합개발 계획수립 기본구상 및 타당성 검토 용역 중간보고회’를 군내면사무소에서 개최했다고 2일 밝혔다.

청성산 종합개발 사업은 반월산성을 상징화하고 수종갱신, 둘레길 조성, 산책로 정비 등 역사, 문화와 놀이시설이 공존하는 포천 대표 힐링공간 조성사업이다.

이날 보고회에서는 백영현 포천시장, 연제창 포천시의회 부의장을 비롯한 신읍동, 선단동, 신북면 주민대표, 기관·단체장 등 관계자 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 용역 중간 보고 및 문화·관광 등 다양한 분야의 의견 수렴이 이뤄졌다.

용역 관계자는 “청성산 대상지 여건을 고려하여 최신 트렌드에 맞는 휴양 및 체험시설 도입을 검토하고, 문화재(반월산성, 성곽)를 상징화해 포천의 대표 랜드마크로 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

백영현 포천시장은 “구리·포천고속도로(신북IC)와 국도 인근에 위치하여 포천의 관문역할을 하는 청성산에 자연친화적이고 누구나 이용할 수 있는 시설이 도입되도록 검토 바란다”면서 “더 나아가 포천천 블루웨이 조성사업과 역세권사업이 진행되면 이곳은 명실상부 포천의 랜드마크가 될 수 있다. 향후 청성산이 시민은 물론 많은 관광객이 찾는 공간이 되도록 힘 써주기를 당부한다”고 밝혔다.
