[김현우 기자 = 포천] 백영현 포천시장은 지난 11일 이동면 이장협의회와 ‘공감·소통 조찬 간담회’를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

이날 간담회는 올해 1월 이동면 주민과의 공감·소통간담회 이후 석 달여 만에 개최했으며, 백영현 시장을 비롯해 임연식 이동면장, 현정화 이장협의회 회장 등 각 마을 이장과 관계 공무원 등 30여 명이 참석했다.

앞서 1월 개최된 간담회 건의사항이었던 장암리 버스터미널 대합실 및 공중화장실 설치 등 6건에 대한 임연식 이동면장의 추진상황 보고를 시작으로, 지역경제 활성화와 주민불편사항 해결을 위한 다양한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

현정화 이장협의회장은 “바쁘신 일정에도 불구하고 소통의 자리를 마련해주신 백영현 시장님께 감사하다. 앞으로도 이동면 이장협의회와 소통 시간을 자주 가졌으면 한다.”고 말했다. 

백영현 포천시장은 “마을 발전을 위해 노력하시는 이장님들께 항상 감사하다.”며, “앞으로도 한분 한분의 소중한 말씀을 귀 기울여 듣고, 정책으로 녹여내 ‘시민 중심 포천’을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
